Roses and autumn leaves printed on silk
Worn by a young woman a few seats
Ahead of me. The whole life cycle printed
On a sleeve, on a scarf.
The train will get us to where we are going,
This short bit at least. The carriage goes forward
Swiftly, all the while rocking gently.
From side to side. Even physics must include give.
Grey horses grazing in a field. We must be
Passing through Kildare. Names blow away,
But not grey horses.
