Reunion

A
tale of
moss & mud

The
river’s roar
& springtime lust,

Years
later they
returned at dusk

To
where they’d
camped & pledged their trust

Where
fireflies swooped
aloof & sparked…

They
laughed a little
all their luck.

Daydream

All the
stunted
flowers

Only
grow
to wilt

And last
a sunrise
through sunset

All
summer
long get drunk

Laugh the
whimsical
weary weather

That hunts
and haunts
each dawn.
